Note !

Hey Guys,

I honestly don't know how to start this note because I've rewritten it more times than I can count.

If you've been reading Ritik and Tanisha's story, you've probably noticed that there haven't been any updates for a long time. Many of you have asked me when the next chapter is coming, and instead of giving vague answers, I want to tell you the truth.

I'm stuck.

Not on one scene.

Not on one chapter.

On the entire direction of the story.

I finished writing Chapter 13 months ago, and since then I've tried everything. I've written Chapter 14 over and over again, changed scenes, rewritten dialogues, changed the investigation, deleted drafts, started again... but nothing feels right. Every time I finish writing, I end up deleting it because it doesn't match the story I want to tell.

The more I forced myself to continue, the more disconnected I felt from the book.

And that's when I realized something.
You all have trusted me with your time and your support. The least I can do is give you a story that I'm genuinely proud of. I don't want to upload chapters just because I feel guilty for making you wait. I want to upload chapters because I know they're the best version I can write.

So after thinking about it for a long time, I've decided to temporarily unpublish Ritik and Tanisha's story.

I'm simply choosing to step back instead of forcing a story that isn't working in its current form.
Sometimes stories need to breathe. Sometimes authors need to step away before they can see the story clearly again. I believe that's where I am right now.

When Ritik and Tanisha return, I don't want them to return with patched-up chapters. I want them to return with a stronger mystery, a better plot, and a story that does justice to both of them.

Until that day comes, I hope you'll continue this journey with me through my ongoing novel,

Velvet Rivalry

Lakshay Raichand × Disha Oberoi

It's a college enemies-to-lovers romance, and I'm genuinely enjoying writing it. Every update reminds me why I fell in love with storytelling in the first place, and I hope you'll enjoy Lakshay and Disha's journey as much as I enjoy writing it.

Lastly, thank you.

Thank you for every read, every vote, every comment, every message, and every bit of patience you've shown me.

I know waiting isn't easy, and I don't take your support for granted.
I can't promise when Ritik and Tanisha will be back.

But I can promise one thing-

When they return, they'll return with the story they truly deserve.

Until then...

Take care of yourselves, keep supporting Velvet Rivalry, and I'll see you in the next chapter.

THANK YOU.

- Ritu.
